Video Assignment Week One

I just finished animating the introduction to my video - it's so cool to see the first steps come together! Here are a couple of pictures of the progress of my introduction slide. I have it set up so each letter flies onto the screen.

Wire Fruit

Apples, Pears, Cherries, Bananas, Strawberries, and an Orange

nature windchime

It was a little bit challenging to get a good picture of my wire sculpture, but I eventually got a relatively decent photo. This sculpture can function as either a wind chime or simply a wall hanging. I created the rod with an image of a tree branch in mind. I had these two old, cool looking keys that i'd found a while back, and realized that they made a pretty sound when clinked together so I decided to hang them from the branch.

Lantern of knowledge

I wanted to make a paper sculpture that had cutouts and allowed light to shine through it in different directions and also allowed the person viewing it to experience different things by looking at it from different angles. I first made the outside of the lantern and glued the four panels together, and then made a sort of collage on the inside with newspaper cuttings to represent all of the information in the world and how we chose to use and obtain it.
